Jacqueline Suskin operates a performance/poetry piece informally referred to as Poem Store: a project that consists of exchanging on demand poetry about any subject, composed on a manual typewriter, in trade for any donation. Poem Store originated with artist Zachary Houston, who in 2009 inspired Jacqueline to make a career out of public typing. Since then, she has toured the country and now keeps a home base in Los Angeles. In 2010 Publication Studio of Portland, OR published The Collected, Jacqueline’s first book of poetry, comprised of found photographs that correspond with narrative verse. She is currently working on her second book Go Ahead & Like It.
Jacqueline will make The Poem Store available during dinner and after the program finale to write on-demand poetry in private for any donation.
